1st step: ASSESSMENT

Getting to know each other will be the best way to understand how we work, what we will do, and how we will find the best university and scholarship for you.

3rd step: ORIENTATION

You should know that the journey is long, but we will guide and support you throughout the process to ensure you obtain the best scholarship.

2nd step: TECHNICAL PROFILE

Once you're convinced that the American Dream is for you all, we'll create your student-athlete profile. This will fully reflect who you are and what you can give to the university and the team, so the coaches can get to know you and recruit you.

4th step: COMMITMENT

Once you've found the university that fits your academics and sport, we'll be by your side helping with all the steps before you start the journey in the USA (applications, visas, flights, etc.).

WHAT DO ATHLETIC/ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS COVER?

Scholarships (combining athletic and academic) can cover anywhere from 1% to 100% of your tuition, fees, housing, meal plan, books, and maybe medical insurance.

WHAT WILL DETERMINE WHETHER I RECEIVE MORE OR LESS SCHOLARSHIP?

It will depend on your academic and athletic level. The better student and athlete you are, the better scholarships you will receive. In some cases, you may receive an athletic scholarship covering part of your tuition, housing, etc., and as a good student, you may also be offered an academic scholarship, which will help complement the athletic scholarship.

WHAT UNIVERSITY LEAGUES EXIST?

In the United States there are several leagues, but the three most important and recognized ones are:

NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) with DI, DII y DIII 

NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics)  

NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association)  with DI, DII y DIII

WHAT VISA DO I NEED TO LIVE IN USA?

Yes, before traveling, you'll need to process the student visa (F-1 visa). The university itself will take care of sending you all the documentation so you can schedule an appointment and apply for the visa at the American embassy in Madrid.

WHAT EXAMS DO I NEED TO GO TO USA?

Mainly, the two exams they ask for are the SAT (American selectivity) and the TOEFL (English proficiency test). Some universities, as an English proficiency level test are starting to accept  DOULINGO TEST EXAM as an alternative to the TOEFL. Depending on the university, they may not require any proficiency test.

WHAT GRADES DO I NEED TO GET IN THIS ENTRANCE EXAMS?

The required grades for each exam will vary depending on the university, but generally, they use to require the following:

SAT: between 840 and 970 over 1600

TOEFL: between 60 and 90 over 120

DOULINGO: between 90 and 105 over 160

HOW MANY YEARS CAN I RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP IN USA?

You can be on an athletic scholarship for a maximum of 4 years. However, there are exceptions. For example, if you suffer a long-term injury during the season, they extend the possibility of playing one more year in the USA. Academic scholarships can be awarded every year throughout your time as a student.

SHOULD I BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19?

Each university determines whether it is mandatory or not to have the COVID-19 vaccine to attend classes (although the vast majority require it).

WHAT STUDIES DO I NEED?

To start a university degree in the USA, they require a minimum level of education. In Spain's case, they require that you have completed and passed 2nd year of "Bachillerato" and/or a "Grado Superior" degree.

WHAT ACADEMIC GRADES DO I NEED TO ACCESS AN AMERICAN UNIVERSITY?

To access an American university, you need to have, at least, an average grade of a 6 over 10 from 3ºESO to 2ºBachillerato. The better your grades, the better your scholarship opportunities.

CAN I HAVE A GAP YEAR AFTER FINISHING MY HIGH SCHOOL AND BEFORE STARTING UNIVERSITY?

Yes, university leagues allow for a maximum of 1 year without studying (GAP YEAR) from finishing High School (Bachillerato) until starting university.

DO I NEED TO KNOW WHAT DEGREE I WANT TO PURSUE BEFORE STARTING UNIVERSITY?

No, in the USA, you can start university without knowing what major you want to be in. The first two years are common for all majors, so you can decide once you have already started university. In case you're unsure about several majors, it's important to ensure that you can study what you want at that the university you are looking to apply, as not all universities offer the same majors.
