Scholarships (combining athletic and academic) can cover anywhere from 1% to 100% of your tuition, fees, housing, meal plan, books, and maybe medical insurance.
It will depend on your academic and athletic level. The better student and athlete you are, the better scholarships you will receive. In some cases, you may receive an athletic scholarship covering part of your tuition, housing, etc., and as a good student, you may also be offered an academic scholarship, which will help complement the athletic scholarship.
Yes, before traveling, you'll need to process the student visa (F-1 visa). The university itself will take care of sending you all the documentation so you can schedule an appointment and apply for the visa at the American embassy in Madrid.
Mainly, the two exams they ask for are the SAT (American selectivity) and the TOEFL (English proficiency test). Some universities, as an English proficiency level test are starting to accept DOULINGO TEST EXAM as an alternative to the TOEFL. Depending on the university, they may not require any proficiency test.
